TRiaDS executive group and operations strategy group:

The Translation Research in a Dental Setting (TRiaDS) Programme operates as part of the Clinical Effectiveness Workstream, within NHS Education for Scotland‘s Dental Directorate, to support the translation of knowledge into practice. The TRiaDS Executive Group and Operations Strategy Group – made up of the principal investigators, programme researchers, business manager, SDCEP guidance development manager and programme administrator – oversees the programme and takes responsibility for the day-to-day management of the programme.

TRiaDS research methodology group:

The TRiaDS Research Methodology Group meets annually to guide the development of research tools and infrastructure. This group is made up of academics, healthcare professionals, guidance developers and policy makers, and comprises significant international expertise in order to advance scientific knowledge in this area of research.

Expertise includes; practice based research; implementation research; trial design, trial recruitment and management; statistics, psychology, health economics, education, patient and public involvement, guidance development.

TRiaDS collaborations:

The TRiaDS team have established close working relationships and collaborations with a number of organisations, including other guideline development groups (SIGN and NICE), NHS organisations, such as NHS Education for Scotland, Healthcare Improvement Scotland, Information Services Division, Scottish Improvement Science Collaborating Centre, as well as other dental organisations such as Childsmile, the American Dental Association and the Scottish Dental Practice Based Research Network.
